Rob Zombie Revives the Witch Trials in 'The Lords of Salem'
Director's latest film follows radio DJ through haunted town

The multi-talented Rob Zombie returns on April 19th with The Lords of Salem, a new horror film that harkens back to the Salem witch trials. In it, the radio DJ Heidi Hawthorne (played by Zombie's wife, Sheri Moon Zombie) is bestowed with a mysterious record marked as a "gift from the Lords." When she takes a listen, the sounds on the vinyl trigger flashbacks of the dark, violent past of her Massachusetts hometown. From there, she is left to sort out if she's insane or if the Lords of Salem are returning for vengeance.

In this exclusive clip from the film, Heidi meets one of the Lords in an eerie, grandiose scene. "This is a key moment in the film where our main character, Heidi Hawthorne, finally confronts the dreaded apartment five to meet the bizarre master of her nightmares," Zombie tells Rolling Stone. "It is one of my favorite scenes in the film and wasn't even in the original script."

The Lords of Salem opens nationwide on April 19th. Rob Zombie's new album, Venomous Rat Regeneration Vendor, will be out soon after on April 23rd.
