Michael Stipe and Mandy Patinkin helped Stephen Colbert continue his "Christmas Carol Week" last night on The Colbert Report, as the former R.E.M. singer and the Homeland star traded verses on "Good King Wenceslas" with stately gravitas. Well, almost: just try not to crack up when Colbert, who has strategically positioned himself in front of a photo of Mt. Rushmore (that seeks like it already includes his head) turns and looks directly into the camera on his verse.
