Key and Peele Get Extra Funky - Premiere
Sketch team spoof the outrageous lyrics and costumes of intergalactic R&B

Make my funk the Key & Peele funk: On this week's show, sketch comedy's reigning superstars explore the world of funk music, its sometimes-excessive lyrics, and its tendencies towards communal hallucination.

Who Are the 50 Funniest People Now?

Keegan-Michael Key explains the sketch, which airs on tonight's show and was written by Rebecca Drysdale, simply: "We are big funk fans."

Jordan Peele provides the larger philosophical outlook. "With every single one of our sketches, one of the filters we put it through is 'Is this something that only Keegan and I can express?' Whether it's racially, whether it's stylistically, whether it's through accent work or commitment, every sketch, we try to have it be something that you would say 'Oh, man, I can't imagine any other sketch show pulling this off.'"

Key & Peele airs Wednesday nights at 10:30 pm on Comedy Central. For even more of the dynamic duo, check out our exclusive Q&A with them.
