Startup.com couldn't be more topical as it follows pals Tom Herman and Kaleil Isaza Tuzman in their efforts to create an Internet company to help people pay parking tickets. Tom and Kaleil get rich, go broke, blow their friendship and their jobs. Documentarians Chris Hegedus and Jehane Noujaim, working with legendary producer DA Pennebaker, bring flesh, blood, humor and heart to a cautionary fable that might otherwise have been as impersonal as a headline. Here's a film fireball that raises provocative hell about a go-bust economy and delivers more suspense than a tombful of mummies.

    “Oh Sherrie”

    Steve Perry | 1984

Steve Perry's girlfriend Sherrie Swafford was actually in the studio when Perry began writing this song--his lone Top Ten hit as a solo act--with two co-writers. The trio began at midnight one night with just "Oh, Sherrie!" and "hold on, hold on." Three hours later, they had a complete song. Swafford, however, had to wait until the next day to hear it. "Sherrie actually got tired and went to bed," Perry said. She also appeared in the video, but their relationship did not hold on for long.
