Watch Chris Pratt Flawlessly Rap Eminem's 'Forgot About Dre' Verse

'Guardians of the Galaxy' star recalls listening to Dr. Dre's "2001" every day while living in a van in Hawaii

Thanks to Parks and Recreation, we already know Chris Pratt's got a knack for belting impassioned Dave Matthews-esque ballads about falling into pits and deceased mini-horses (RIP Li'l Sebastian), but the actor proved he's no one-trick pony during an interview with DJ Whoo Kid on his radio show, Whoolywood Shuffle.

Pratt appeared to promote his new Marvel blockbuster, Guardians of the Galaxy, when the subject turned to his taste in music. The actor spoke about his love of hip-hop, recalling the dawn of Eminem's career and comparing his relationship with Dr. Dre's 2001 to the mixtape his Guardians character, Peter Quill, listens to throughout the movie.

"Me and my friend lived in a van in Maui and we listened to that and smoked weed every day," Pratt said of Dre's classic, which featured two tracks with a young and hungry Slim Shady. "I know every word to that album." When asked to prove it, Pratt spat out a flawless, pitch- and rhythmically-perfect a cappella of Eminem's verse from "Forgot About Dre" to the surprise and amazement of Whoo Kid.

Pratt also weighed in on Hollywood's new favorite feud between Justin Bieber and Orlando Bloom. After Whoo Kid compared David Hasselhoff's testy reaction to the news of a Knight Rider movie (which Pratt has been rumored to star in) to the beef-hungry Bieber, the DJ explained the pop star's recent altercation with the Lord of the Rings actor. Pratt, as always, offered a pristine reaction: "Awww, how embarrassing to get punched by Orlando Bloom! Out of all the people to get punched by it's Orlando Bloom… I would rather get farted on by David Hasselhoff than punched by Orlando Bloom."

While Parks and Recreation only has one season left, Pratt won't be going anywhere anytime soon. Along with his starring role in Guardians, the actor has solidified his chops with appearances in a wide array of movies from Zero Dark Thirty to Spike Jonze's Her to The Lego Movie. He's also set to star in the upcoming Jurassic Park reboot, Jurassic World, which is slated for release on June 12, 2015.
