Steve Carell and his wife Nancy are writing and producing a comedy pilot for TBS, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The show, titled Tribeca, will focus on Angie Tribeca, a 10-year vet on the L.A.P.D.'s Really Heinous Crimes Unit. Described as a single-camera show, Tribeca will also feature a cast of "eccentric but brilliant" characters, who have no social filters despite the seriousness of their jobs. Carell will direct the pilot.

Closing Time: Saying Goodbye to 'The Office'

The actor has been keeping busy since he made his surprise appearance  in the series finale of The Office earlier this year. Earlier this year, he starred in The Incredible Burt Wonderstone opposite Jim Carey and  will reprise his Anchorman role as weatherman Brick Tamland in the movie's sequel, due out this December. This is the second show Carell's landed in the last few weeks. In early October, his production company, Carousel, recently teamed with Fox for an unscripted competition series, Slide Show, which will pit celebrities and comedians against one another.
