Special Episode of 'The Voice' to Air After the Super Bowl

NBC will run an hourlong 'blind audition' episode after the game

NBC has announced that a special hourlong episode of The Voice will air following Super Bowl XLVI in February. The show, which is NBC's highest-rated program and the most popular new series of the 2010-11 season, is likely to begin its second season on this night.

"There is no better showcase on television than to follow the Super Bowl, and we believe The Voice is deserving of such high-profile exposure," NBC Entertainment chairman Bob Greenblatt said in a statement. "The attention grabbing blind audition phase of The Voice has mass appeal and will fittingly team up with the biggest sporting event of the year."
