After the recent departures of Andy Samberg, Kristen Wiig and Abby Elliott, Saturday Night Live has bolstered the cast with three new members as its 38th season approaches, The New York Times reports. Cecily Strong, Aidy Bryant and Tim Robinson are set as featured performers. Strong has a background with Chicago's Second City's touring company and has been an understudy for the improv theater's main stage and E.T.C. stage. Robinson has performed with Second City's touring company and main stage, while Bryant has trained at Chicago's iO comedy theater and performed on Second City's E.T.C. stage.
Family Guy creator and Ted mastermind Seth MacFarlene hosts SNL's September 15th season premiere, with R&B star Frank Ocean as musical guest. Though Samberg, Wiig and Elliott have already left, the status of Jason Sudeikis' return is still unclear.
