Sigur Ros Cast on 'Game of Thrones'

Band will appear in Season Four of HBO's epic drama

Sigur Ros will appear in the upcoming season of Game of Thrones. According to Entertainment Weekly, the Icelandic indie-rockers are currently shooting on location in Croatia. 

The nature of the band's role in the show isn't clear, but Game of Thrones creators David Benioff and Dan Weiss are longtime fans and have tapped bands for the show in the past. 

'Game of Thrones' Sparks Strong Reactions After 'Red Wedding'

The National and the Hold Steady have each performed songs that have appeared on the series' soundtracks, and members of Coldplay and Snow Patrol have also been enlisted for guest spots. 

Game of Thrones will return to HBO in the spring after developments in Season Three that prompted strong reactions among many viewers.
