Gandee was last seen around 3 a.m. Sunday morning with his uncle David Gandee at a bar, where the pair told fellow patrons they were going off-roading in Shain's Ford Bronco. Police have confirmed one of the other bodies found in the vehicle was David Gandee, but the third body is still unidentified.

Police had to use ATVs to access the area where the bodies were found, about a mile up a dirt road, according to the Charleston Daily Mail. Specifics of the victims' deaths are still unknown, but police do not suspect foul play.

"We are shocked and saddened by the terrible news about Shain Gandee, and those involved in this tragic incident," MTV told Us Weekly. We are waiting for more information but at this time, our main concern is for the Gandee family and their friends. Our thoughts and prayers are with them. Shain had a magnetic personality, with a passion for life that touched everyone he met and we will miss him dearly."

Buckwild wrapped up its first season in February, and MTV has renewed the rural West Virginia reality show for a second season.
