Robert Downey Jr. suffered an injury to his foot during the filming of Iron Man 3, forcing a hold on production, the Associated Press reports.
According to Marvel Studios, "There will be a short delay in production while [Downey] recuperates." The star hurt himself while performing a stunt.
Currently shooting in North Carolina, Iron Man 3 is set to hit theaters next summer. The film also stars Gwyneth Paltrow, Guy Pearce and Ben Kingsley. Downey also appeared as Iron Man in this summer's blockbuster The Avengers, and its highly-anticipated sequel received a release date of May 1st, 2015 today.
