Rihanna, Jim Parsons Land Lead Roles in Animated Film

'Happy Smekday!' will be Rihanna's voice acting debut

Rihanna and The Big Bang Theory's Jim Parsons are set to star in an upcoming DreamWorks animated film, according to the Hollywood Reporter. Happy Smekday! will follow a friendly alien race as they flee to Earth to escape their enemy. Rihanna and Parsons will provide the lead voices, with Antz and Over the Hedge director Tim Johnson on board to direct.

DreamWorks hopes to release Happy Smekday! in the fourth quarter of 2014. The film will mark Rihanna's voice acting debut, following her debut live-action film role in this summer's Battleship.
