As the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences gears up to reward 2013's worthiest films at tonight's Oscars, the Golden Raspberry Award Foundation took a moment on Saturday night to recognize film achievement on the other end of the spectrum at the 34th Annual Razzie Awards.

The sketch comedy anthology Movie 43 was the big "winner" last night, garnering the Razzie for worst picture of 2013. Additional prizes were spread generously among the film's creators, with its 13 directors sharing the worst director prize and 19 writers earning worst screenplay.

The 12 Greatest Performances Not Nominated for Oscars

The powerhouse team of Will and Jaden Smith took home a total of three Razzies for their work in the sci-fi epic After Earth. Jaden won worst lead actor, Will worst supporting actor and the pair were named worst screen combo.

Tyler Perry also made a strong showing in the awards, earning the worst actress prize for his portrayal of the title matriarch in A Madea Christmas along with a worst supporting actress award for Kim Kardashian in Tyler Perry's Temptation. The Lone Ranger was selected as the year's worst remake/rip-off or sequel.

This year's gold spray-painted trophies were handed out during an hour-long ceremony at Hollywood's Ignited Spaces. The Razzies were created in 1980 by Everything I Know I Learned at the Movies author John Wilson. Prizes are determined by online votes from Golden Raspberry Award Foundation members and RottenTomatoes.com users.
