Portlandia, the sketch comedy show starring Wild Flag's Carrie Brownstein and Saturday Night Live's Fred Armisen, has been renewed for a third season, Deadline Hollywood reports.

IFC announced the renewal yesterday at their first-ever upfront presentation in New York, in which they unveiled a slate of programming that also includes a new set of installments of R. Kelly's Trapped in the Closet, an animated series called Out There, the comedy game show Bunk, and two shows, Maron and Comedy Bang Bang, featuring podcast stars Marc Maron and Scott Aukerman, respectively.

Portlandia's return should come as no surprise. The show has been a breakout hit for the network, spinning off a successful concert tour and a book deal for Brownstein and Armisen.
