NBC has shelved The Farm, a proposed Office spinoff that would have followed Rainn Wilson's character Dwight Schrute as he ran a beet farm and bed and breakfast, Reuters reports.
"NBC has passed on moving forward with 'The Farm' TV show," Wilson tweeted yesterday. "Had a blast making the pilot – onwards & upwards!"
The Farm's cast included Wilson reprising his role as Schrute, Thomas Middleditch as his younger brother Jeb Schrute, Majandra Delfino as his younger sister and Blake Garrett as his nephew.
Despite not getting picked up, the pilot is still set to air as a stand-alone episode during the ninth and final season of The Office.
