The new Superman movie Man of Steel doesn't open until this Friday, but Warner Bros. is already planning for a sequel. Henry Cavill will reprise his role as Superman, Zack Snyder will return to direct and David S. Goyer will write the sequel, Deadline reports, though producer and co-story writer Christopher Nolan's involvement is unclear.
Man of Steel steers into Dark Knight territory, replacing the camp of earlier incarnations with a darker tone and gritty feel as Cavill's Clark Kent, an exile from the destroyed planet Krypton, grows up struggling to find his place on Earth among a populace without his super-human powers.
