'Lincoln,' 'Silver Linings Playbook' Lead Screen Actors Guild Nominees

'Argo,' 'Les Misérables' also score multiple nods

Lincoln and Silver Linings Playbook lead the nominees for the 19th iteration of the Screen Actors Guild Awards with four nods each, including Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture. Lincoln is also up for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Leading Role for Daniel Day-Lewis' portrayal of Abraham Lincoln, and Tommy Lee Jones and Sally Field earned nods for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor and Female Actor in a Supporting Role for their portrayals of Thaddeus Stevens and Mary Todd Lincoln, respectively.

The romantic comedy Silver Linings Playbook earned a nomination for Outstanding Performance by a Cast, and lead actors Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence both received nominations for Outstanding Performance by a Male and Female Actor in a Leading Role. Robert De Niro also snagged a nod for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role.

Les Misérables picked up three nominations, including Outstanding Performance by a Cast and individual nods for Anne Hathaway (Female Actor in a Supporting Role) and Hugh Jackman (Male Actor in a Leading Role). Argo scored two nods, including Outstanding Performance by a Cast and an individual nomination for Alan Arkin (Male Actor in a Supporting Role). Well-reviewed films The Master and Zero Dark Thirty underwhelmed with one nomination each.

Homeland led all TV drama nominees with three nominations, including Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series. Modern Family led comedy nominees with four nods.
