'Lincoln,' 'Argo,' 'Zero Dark Thirty' Among Producers Guild Nominees

'Django Unchained' and 'Les Miserables' also up for top honor

Lincoln, Zero Dark Thirty and Argo are among the 10 pictures up for the Producers Guild of America's top feature film honor, the Darryl F. Zanuck Award, Deadline reports.

Nominations for the PGA's 24th annual awards ceremony – set to take place on January 26th– were announced yesterday, with a handful of other awards-season favorites also making the cut: Django Unchained, Les Misérables, Life of Pi, Beasts of the Southern Wild, Moonrise Kingdom, Silver Linings Playbook and Skyfall.

Lincoln and Zero Dark Thirty have cemented themselves as front runners so far. Steven Spielberg's presidential biopic recently nabbed seven Golden Globe nominations, while Kathryn Bigelow's telling of the Osama bin Laden manhunt scored four. Lincoln also garnered a record breaking 13 nominations for this years Critics' Choice Movie Awards.

 

The PGA also honors television, and this year's contenders for the Norman Felton Award for the producers of episodic dramas include Breaking Bad, Homeland, Game of Thrones, Mad Men and Downton Abbey.
