While the Girls star and creator hasn't been on the show proper, her hit HBO show was spoofed on SNL's season opener. In a faux promo for the show, Hannah Horvath and Co. welcome a new member to their dysfunctional family, Blerta, an Albanian woman played by host Tina Fey. Dunham called the parody "a true honor."
Girls is currently in the middle of its third season, and was renewed for a fourth before this latest one even began. You'll also be able to catch Dunham this Thursday on Late Night with Seth Meyers, which premiered last night.
As for the National, the group's latest effort, Trouble Will Find Me received a Grammy nod for Best Alternative Album. A documentary about the band, Mistaken for Strangers, directed by frontman Matt Berninger's brother Tom, will see a wide theatrical release on March 28th (it premiered last spring at the Tribeca Film Festival).
