Kristen Wiig Returning to 'SNL' as Host

Vampire Weekend will be the musical guest

Kristen Wiig will return to Saturday Night Live next month to make her hosting debut on the show. The former cast member and Bridesmaids star, who left after last season, will lead the show May 11th with musical guest Vampire Weekend, whose new album Modern Vampires of the City is due May 14th. It'll be the band's third SNL appearance. Wiig has a host of film projects on deck, including Anchorman: The Legend Continues, Girl Most Likely, Despicable Me 2 and The Secret Life of Walter Mitty.

Zach Galifianakis will take over the show on May 4th, with Of Monsters of Men as musical guests. It will mark the The Hangover Part III star's third go at host, ahead of the film's May 24th opening. Argo director and star Ben Affleck will close out the show's 38th season on May 18th, with Kanye West as musical guest. It'll be the Oscar-winning director's fifth time as host, and will also be West's fifth appearance as the night's musical guest.
