While there's no official word on what role Wiig will play, earlier reports of her  possible involvement in the movie cast her as a love interest for Carell's beloved doofus of a weatherman, Brick Tamland.

Anchorman: The Legend Continues is set for release on December 20th. Ferrell announced the sequel  to 2004's Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy in suitable style, donning Burgundy's trademark scarlet duds and treating the audience to a little jazz flute on Conan.
