Key and Peele Embark on Wild Cat Chase in 'Keanu' Trailer

Duo attempt to rescue the world's most gangster kitten in debut feature film

Jordan Peele and Keegan-Michael Key set out to rescue the world's cutest kitten from drug traffickers in the trailer for their debut movie, 'Keanu'

Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele set out to rescue the world's cutest and most gangster kitten in the red band trailer for Keanu, the duo's first feature film.

The clip opens with Peele's character wallowing over a breakup when the titular cat shows up at his doorstep. But disaster strikes when he and his friend Clarence, played by Key, return home one dark and stormy night to find Keanu cat-napped.

Their search begins weird — with Will Forte in cornrows — and only gets weirder. The pair delve into a seamy underbelly with gangsters, drug traffickers and slow-motion shootouts as they try to retrieve Keanu, all while trying to hide their true, George Michael-loving, minivan-driving selves. "You wanna never get pulled over again?" Clarence instructs with a grin. "You drive an inconspicuous family vehicle."

Keanu was written by Peele and Alex Rubens (a writer and producer on Key and Peele), and was directed by Peter Atencio (a frequent director and producer on Key and Peele). The film also stars Method Man, Jason Mitchell, Darrell Britt-Gibson and Nia Long. Keanu opens April 29th.
