Justin Bieber Sitcom in the Works at ABC

Singer's upbringing will inform single-camera comedy

ABC is teaming with Justin Bieber for a sitcom based on the teen singer's life, TV Guide reports. The untitled single-camera comedy will follow a teenage music phenom raised by his mother and grandparents, echoing Bieber's own upbringing and rise to prominence on YouTube. Bieber and manager Scooter Braun will act as executive producers, with Matt Wolpert and Ben Nedivi from Entourage set to pen the script.
