Johnny Depp will star in Wes Anderson's next movie, The Grand Budapest Hotel, according to the The Hollywood Reporter.
While few details about the movie itself are available yet (specifically regarding Depp's character or the film's plot), it will be financed and produced by Indian Paintbrush, and will also mark Anderson's first time shooting in Europe.
Depp is the first actor to officially sign on to Budapest, though it's rumored that Anderson is looking to add some names familiar to his past films, including Bill Murray, Owen Wilson, Adrien Brody, Willem Dafoe, Jeff Goldblum and Edward Norton (who appears in Anderson's latest, Moonrise Kingdom), as well as Jude Law and Angela Lansbury.
Footage of Depp's latest film, The Lone Ranger, premiered at Comic-Con over the weekend, and the actor is currently co-editing a lost novel by Woodie Guthrie.
