American Idol runner-up Jessica Sanchez will join the cast of Glee for a multi-episode arc, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
Sanchez, who finished second behind Phillips Phillips, is expected to appear on the Fox hit midway through its upcoming fourth season; no details regarding her character, however, have been announced. She will most likely start following Idol's summer concert tour.
Sanchez isn't the only big name signed on for a guest role for this season, with both Sarah Jessica Parker and Kate Hudson also joining the show for small arcs.
Glee – which coincidentally is moving to Thursday next season to be paired with American Idol – will mark Sanchez's first foray into acting. It seems to align with what she told Rolling Stone about the next step in her career following the end of Idol's 11th season: "I want people to know that the person I was in the competition is kinda different from who I want to be as an artist."
