Jason Alexander Lands Guest Spot on 'Community'

With Chevy Chase on the way out on Community, Jason Alexander is stepping in with a guest spot, The Wrap reports. The former Seinfeld star hasn't said much about the role, apart from tweeting yesterday, "Filming a crazy episode of Community this week. Can't say much about it but it's a fun one." 

The Feud Between Chevy Chase and 'Community'

Chase left the NBC sitcom last month after a turbulent stint playing Pierce Hawthorne. The comic and actor called the show "a fucking mediocre sitcom" and had clashed with creator and recently ousted showrunner Dan Harmon. Chase's departure apparently came toward the end of shooting, and he will appear in most of the episodes of the fourth season, which is scheduled to begin February 7th. Alexander's episode is expected to air late next spring.
