James Gandolfini Mourned Online by Fans and Colleagues

Actor is remembered on Twitter for his kindness

Fans, colleagues and admirers from all walks of life took to Twitter to express condolescences over the unexpected death yesterday of James Gandolfini, who suffered a heart attack yesterday while vacationing in Italy. Mourners remember the Sopranos star for his acting, but also for his kindness and generosity. 

2012 in Memoriam: Musicians We Lost

Actors who worked with him, including Steven Van Zandt, Susan Sarandon, Jeff Daniels and Olivia Wilde, weighed in, along with Breaking Bad star Bryan Cranston, who credited Gandolfini's Tony Soprano for paving the way to Cranton's Walter White. New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie offered condolences as well, along with other actors who were inspired by, or simply fans of, Gandolfini's.
