Vice President Selina Meyer is officially getting another term now that HBO has renewed its profanely funny political satire Veep, which stars Rolling Stone's current cover star Julia Louis-Dreyfus, for a fourth season. The network has also rebooted the tech-industry sitcom Silicon Valley, which was created by Mike Judge of Office Space, Beavis and Butt-head and King of the Hill fame, for a second season, according to E! Online.

Swearing-In: 25 Great 'Veep' Insults

Both shows currently air after Game of Thrones on Sundays, and Silicon Valley in particular got a major boost from directly following the fantasy series. While Game of Thrones garnered HBO its highest ratings since 2007 – 6.6 million viewers – Variety reports the tech show attracted nearly two million viewers for its series premiere. Veep's third season premiere brought in 955,000 viewers.

In her cover story, Veep's Julia Louis-Dreyfus said that one of her great thrills on the show was doling out her character's foul-mouthed putdowns, a privilege she can enjoy more on Veep than she could have on any network TV show. "Once, when we were trying to come up with the particular perfect, horrible, swear-y thing to say in Veep, I said, 'You do realize that if we were 12, we would get in big trouble for this conversation,'" she said. "That was not part of the curriculum in high school, and the fact that it is now a part of the curriculum of my life is a pleasure, which is the understatement of the universe."
