Harrison Ford Joins 'Anchorman 2'

'Star Wars' actor will play 'legendary' anchor in forthcoming sequel

Harrison Ford is the latest star to join the forthcoming Anchorman sequel. The Indiana Jones actor will play a "legendary" anchor in the vein of Tom Brokaw, according to the Hollywood Reporter, and will mug alongside cast members Will Ferrell, Steve Carell, Paul Rudd, Christina Applegate, David Koechner and Kristen Wiig. Director Adam McKay is also set to return and Judd Apatow is serving as producer. The movie begins shooting this month in Atlanta and is set for December 20th release.

Report: Harrison Ford Will Reprise Han Solo in New 'Star Wars' Films

Ford is also expected to star in an upcoming Disney Star Wars spinoff centered around his bounty hunter character, Han Solo. Next, he stars in the Jackie Robinson biopic 42, out April 12th.
