After creating controversy for using a prop likeness of former President George W. Bush in a beheading scene, HBO and Game of Thrones have digitally altered the prosthetic's appearance and put the episode back online, notes the Washington Post.
HBO and creators David Benioff and D.B. Weiss came under fire earlier this month after viewers heard DVD commentary from the pair confirming the prop head was crafted in Bush's likeness. The creators maintained it was not a political statement, saying they simply used the prosthetics that were available. The episode was pulled online and from the rotation, and shipments of the series' first season DVDs were halted.
