True Blood's seventh and final season will premiere on HBO Sunday, June 22nd at 9 p.m. ET, TV Line reports, wrapping up after just ten more episodes. The show's final season will feature a few new additions to the cast, including Riley Smith of 90210 and Nathan Parsons, who will replace Luke Grimes as James following the latter's departure from the show.

You can check out a teaser for True Blood's seventh season below, which tracks through a graveyard filled with the headstones of deceased characters before reaching a final one that proclaims: "True Blood: 2008 - 2014." You can also refresh your memory with our recap of the last season's finale and prepare yourself for what's at stake in Season Seven.

HBO announced that this season would be True Blood's last back in September, with executive producer Brian Buckner telling fans: "As we take a final walk through Bon Temps together, we will do our very best to bring Sookie’s story to a close with heart, imagination and, of course, fun."

While True Blood has remained one of HBO's biggest shows, for many, including our own Rob Sheffield, the once brilliant, campy drama has descended into outright nonsense. "True Blood has gotten so soft in the head, it's hard to remember there was ever a halfway-compelling romance in there somewhere," Sheffield wrote last year. "The once-beloved drama keeps getting sillier, throwing Viking panthers and faerie elders and werewolf threesomes into the mix. Having given up any sense of emotional stakes, True Blood has become a drinking game of What next? Leprechauns blowing a Minotaur?'"
