The Dirty Projectors and Dinosaur Jr. guitarist J Mascis are two among a whole group of guest stars slated for the next season of Fred Armisen and Carrie Brownstein's Portlandia, Entertainment Weekly reports.
Also set to appear on the IFC sketch-comedy show: Roseanne Barr, Patton Oswalt, Juliette Lewis, George Wendt, Rose Byrne, Bill Hader, Bobby Moyniham, Jim Gaffigan, Matt Berry, Matt Lucas and, to top it all off, former tennis champ Martina Navratilova.
The Projectors and Mascis, of course, aren't the show's first musical guests. Last season, the Shin's James Mercer, the Decemberists' Colin Meloy and Brownstein's former Sleater-Kinney bandmate Corin Tucker joined forces as the fictional indie band Echo Echo. The show has also featured cameos from Aimee Mann, Eddie Vedder, St. Vincent, Johnny Marr and more.
Season three of Portlandia kicks off on January 4th, though a "pre-premiere" winter-themed episode is set to air on December 14th. And be sure to check out our run down of Portlandia's best musical moments as well.
