Rock star, talk show guest host, and recent documentary filmmaker Dave Grohl can add awards presenter to the list of things that keep him busy: he'll be among the presenters at the 2013 Film Independent Spirit Awards. Silver Linings Playbook's Chris Tucker, SNL and Portlandia's Fred Armisen and director Sofia Coppola will also serve as presenters at the awards show, which SNL alumnus Andy Samberg is set to host.
The Best Movies of 2012: 'Silver Linings Playbook'
Silver Linings Playbook and Moonrise Kingdom lead Spirit Awards nominees with five nods each, including Best Feature, Director and Screenplay for both. Beasts of the Southern Wild is up for four awards, including Best Feature. It's part of an impressive awards season for Silver Linings Playbook, which is also up for eight Academy Awards, including Best Picture.
