Chevy Chase has signed on to appear in Hot Tub Time Machine 2, reprising his role as the weird but wizened hot tub repair man who happens to know a thing or two about time travel, Deadline reports.

There aren't a whole lot of details regarding the size of Chase's role in the sequel to the 2010 comedy, though it looks to be one of the few projects the actor has taken on since leaving the sitcom Community last year.

The Feud Between Chevy Chase and 'Community'

Chase is the latest member of the original Hot Tub Time Machine cast and crew to return for the follow-up: Rob Corddry, Craig Robinson and Clark Duke are all set to reprise their roles, while Steve Pink will return as director. John Cusak, however, will not appear in the sequel, though it looks like Parks and Recreation's Adam Scott will take his place.
