Though it's only been days since his official departure from Saturday Night Live, Andy Samberg is set to star in an upcoming BBC show, according to the New York Post. Reports first surfaced in March that Samberg was in line for Cuckoo, which will air on BBC3, but the actor confirmed the series during a Los Angeles press day in support of his upcoming film That's My Boy. Samberg will play a hippie slacker who faces a fearsome father-in-law after marrying a British girl. There's no word yet on when the show will premiere.
Samberg closed out his final season on SNL on May 19th. That's My Boy, also starring Adam Sandler, opens June 15th.
