Set in the year 2805, WALL-E presents a pretty dim view of Earth's future. Human begins have long since fled and robots were left behind the clean up the huge mess. By this point, only a single one is still around and he lives a very sad existence until he meets another robot named EVE and follows her onto a spaceship. Like many of Pixar's best movies, it's extremely touching and more than a little sad at times. They do an amazing job of turning a robot that cleans up garbage into a fully-formed character. Some critics even called it the single best movie of the year. Unlike most Pixar movies, there's been any serious talk of a sequel. This one is simply to good to mess with.
