In Theaters: September 21st
Starring: Clint Eastwood, Amy Adams, Justin Timberlake
Directed By: Robert Lorenz
Get off his lawn – or in this case, his baseball turf – as Clint Eastwood takes on the role of an aging Atlanta Braves scout with failing vision. Justin Timberlake plays a scout from a rival team. And Amy Adams plays the estranged daughter who decides to help the old man despite himself. The two-time Oscar winner for directing (Unforgiven, Million Dollar Baby) isn't calling the shots this time. The directing job goes to his longtime friend and producer Robert Lorenz. Eastwood, 82, hasn't acted since 2008's Gran Torino, for which he deserved an acting nomination that wasn't forthcoming. Come on Academy, forget Eastwood's empty-chair stunt at the RNC and make his day.
