At the Movies With Peter Travers: Joaquin Phoenix Comes Unhinged in 'I'm Still Here'

POSTED:

In this week's At the Movies, Peter Travers tackles I'm Still Here , a "documentary" of the year Joaquin Phoenix quit Hollywood, pursued a career in hip-hop, and indulged in cocaine and prostitutes. "Even though I didn't believe almost a single scene in this movie, I couldn't take my eyes off it. It knocked my head sideways," Travers says of the film, which was directed Casey Affleck, Phoenix's brother-in-law. "It's incredible to watch." Meanwhile, as far as Travers is concerned, the less said about The Romantics (starring Katie Holmes, Josh Duhamel and Anna Paquin), the better. I'm Still Here and The Romantics are out in limited release this Friday.
