I'm From Rolling Stone: Get the real dirt on the characters, watch exclusive behind the scenes video, and try your hand at writing for Rolling Stone Magazine.

Goodbye, “I’m From Rolling Stone”…Hello, Krish!

The suspense is over! Krishtine de Leon — she of girlie-grillz and Hyphy and trash-talkin’ — beat out the other five MTV reality-show folks to win a spot as a Rolling Stone contributing editor.

Alas, this also means that the first season of I’m From Rolling Stone is over. Ah, the memories! Over the course of ten episodes, we watched as Pete got drunk, Russell got crazy, Colin went to Alaska, Tika choked on the red carpet and Krystal got to meet Paris Hilton! What were your favorite moments from the show? And what do you want to see next time around? Inquiring minds want to know.

But just because season one has wrapped up doesn’t mean it’s all over, dear readers. YOU can still enter our very last installment of the I’m From Rolling Stone online writing contest — and in addition to getting a chance to win a sweet new First Act guitar and a Rhapsody Sansa MP3 player, you’ll get a shot at the grand prize: a gig writing for RollingStone.com AND a MacBook. No grillz required. DEADLINE: March 23, 2007, 12 p.m. EST

If these goof-offs performed like this in real journalism jobs, they would have been fired long before now.

Attn: MTV and Rolling Stone. Please bring this show back, but next time cast some people with real talent, give harder assignments and put in some consequences for when the cast members screw up.

I’m crossing fingers for another chance-this was the opportunity of a lifetime and all of them blew it in one way or another

I’d be thanking every deity I know of if I ever had the chance and would certianly invest my blood, sweat, and tears into it.

well, here’s to the hopes of it returning-and with better contestants so the show can go on…it’s a grand premise, there just needs to be people to follow through with the task at hand…

WTF!!!!!! She went to a three-day music festival and came back without a story! She can only write about hip hop! She’s unprofessional (i.e. the grill and the bitching about her editors to her sources)! She doesn’t deserve this!
But then again, all of them kind of sucked. Russell was nuts and not in the he’s-just-finding-himself way but in the what-the-hell-is-he-doing-ther e way. The Australian dude is an alcoholic. The blonde was only interested in the life of a journalist and none of the work. (What the hell was up with that “Jagger” thing? Not cool at all. Did she ever work?) Colin was cute but too young. Tika was OK, but still not good enough.
This show really didn’t live up to expectations. There were no consequences when they screwed up, just a slap on the wrist. All the assignments were incredibly easy. And the group of them took those assignments and screwed up in one way or another. No talent! So disheartened. This show took a great premise and probably messed it up to where there won’t be any more shows like it. Ugh!

Jim,I truly agree with you when mentioning wearing a grill to a workplace is seriously unprofessional(prior to the fact that personally ME ever rocking one would make me look partially tacky),but at least give the woman credit for showing her true colors, more so gracefully and stylistically rising to the occasion.Music, especially rock & roll,is all about being illustrious and moving above and beyond,as well as personality and fashion. Not to say you should unordinarily take your whole well being and appearance to the fullest extent, but be innovative and at the same time coordinate.Music is not only about ambitiously rising to the occasion, but so is Rolling Stone.Khristine proved she could ball with the best in the office and when she’s on assignment worldwide(despite a few non printed/posted,and sometimes incomplete articles).Overall,Miss DeLeon is a solidly flourescent star in her own right-no doubt.

I didn’t see the first few episodes, and i’m wondering - what exactly were the requirements to be considered for the show? I know Pete was/is (?) a sociology major, and the others all had an educational / employment history in writing of some sort, but was there anything else required?

Jim | 3/23/2007, 2:38 pm EST

Anyone wearing a grill during their first meeting with the executive editor should never hold a paying journalism job. Not even if it’s for VIBE.

charliemapleton | 3/23/2007, 2:22 pm EST

Or more so,the finest since Madeline Woods-regardless if she is a TV jounalist.

charliemapleton | 3/23/2007, 2:06 pm EST

The sexiest journalist since Mimi Valdes-no lie.

very niiiice, how much?

LR | 3/23/2007, 10:21 am EST

This woman is incredibly annoying. I’ve frankly been dissapointed in the choices they made both for the tv show winner and in the online contests

David | 3/23/2007, 9:53 am EST

So did they give Pete a job or that internship he asked for in the last episode? I see him in all these RS video interviews…

I really want there to be a next season! Before the show I never came on this website, but now I am on at least 5 times a day.

Oguzhan Cansiz | 3/23/2007, 6:33 am EST

she looks very nice…..has beauty decided this challenge????

janther | 3/23/2007, 1:19 am EST

this episode hasnt aired in canada yet, so i guess its been spoiled.
i thought krish was in the bottom half of the group. russell or pete should have won. but i guess i only saw what the camera showed me.

Not A Jedi | 3/23/2007, 12:16 am EST

Russell WON! Well not really but I think that he will interview JK Rolling Stoned about “The Death and Rebirth of Harry Potter”. Harry finds the truth that all Wizards are from Utah and play basketball…..

lam | 3/23/2007, 12:13 am EST

i want

min2themax | 3/22/2007, 8:47 pm EST

I like Krish - she’s a good writer, with a good work ethic and a genuine interest in music.

Will there be a season 2? i liked it alot, but i don’t think the show being on MTV was a good choice.

joey | 3/22/2007, 7:28 pm EST

russell would have won if he haven’t screw up, pete is working
with rolling stone now so he didn’t
really lose after all.

88keys | 3/22/2007, 6:55 pm EST

russell, ya coulda been a contenda…

Char | 3/22/2007, 6:32 pm EST

The best reporter won! The others either choked or didn’t have the professional skills to work for one of the finest American music magazines. Krishtine, give me a holler–I wanna work for Rolling Stone.

jer | 3/22/2007, 6:19 pm EST

pete should have had it
