After working his way through the Greek pantheon, Kratos finds himself in Scandinavia, with a gnarly beard and a young boy in tow – his son, who he's teaching to be a warrior. Not too much of a stretch to assume he'll be back to his same old tricks. Many vicious humanoid monsters are cleft in twain in this trailer; if it's your first time seeing this new God of War in action, you'll be surprised at the shift in perspective – it's closer in, with a more pronounced heft and crunch. Also, Kratos' boomeraxe looks totally sweet.
God of War is due out next year.
