Rouse yourself from your turkey comas friends, games news waits for no one. While you were shopping for new pants on Black Friday, there was actual news about No Man's Sky, racing sim Forza Horizon 3 got a bunch of new cars, Pokémon Sun and Moon killed it in the UK and World Of Warcraft's murlocs got festive.
It's a Thanksgiving miracle: No Man's Sky developer Hello Games has broken its post-release silence and revealed a massive new update for its troubled creation. The Foundation Update will finally add base building to the game, and Hello Games promises it's "the first small step in a longer journey."
Forza Horizon 3 is also getting a new expansion, called Blizzard Mountain, on December 13. It'll give gearheads the chance to race across alpine tracks and face ice, extreme elevations and blizzards. A new expansion also means eight new cars, including a 1975 Lancia Stratos HF Group 4 and a 2016 Nissan Titan Warrior Concept.
Modder THEJAMK has managed to build Overwatch's new girl Sombra in Street Fighter V. He made some heavy tweaks to Street Fighter's Laura to make it work and while he's personally a little disappointed with some of the animations, it's pretty impressive nonetheless.
Meanwhile, Pokémon Sun and Moon are officially Nintendo's biggest ever launch in the UK. The facts and figures came from Chart-Track, and put the pair of Pokémon titles ahead of Wii Fit and Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire.
Fable fans are busy trying to piece together their shattered lives following the last minute cancellation of Fable: Legends (which never looked like a proper Fable anyway) and the closure of studio Lionhead. There's a ray of hope from Peter Molyneux though, Lionhead's former boss and eccentric Fable creator. "It’s crazy that Fable IV isn’t being made. I would love to do Fable IV, and the studio tried to do it. You’d have to get the original team back together though." Is there a new Kickstarter campaign in Molyneux's future?
Blizzard is busy revealing more cards from the upcoming Hearthstone expansion Mean Streets of Gadgetzan on Twitch this morning with senior designer Matt Place and Hearthstone caster Dan “Frodan” Chou. If you missed the stream, you can check out this recap on Reddit.
Finally, if you're looking for an alternative to the traditional Yule Log videos, may we suggest some festive murlocs?
