Middle-earth: Shadow of War is a game about killing things, but it also wants you to know that it's about killing things in a way that would make JRR Tolkien proud. The latest trailer goes heavy on the story of hero Talion and the spirit of the elf lord Celebrimbor who lives inside him.
If you missed the original game, 2014's Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor, it made a name for itself with even Hobbit haters for its mix of action, role-playing and the Nemesis System. That clever bit of narrative engineering meant that orcs you failed to kill would come back stronger, often horribly disfigured, and with a habit of taunting you.
The sequel has been delayed by a few months and will now be released on October 10 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation Pro, Xbox One and yes, Project Scorpio.
