See Japan's Live-Action 'Horizon Zero Dawn' Trailer

'A Solitary Huntress' brings the adventure's hero, Aloy, to life

PlayStation Japan

Horizon Zero Dawn was released on February 28 but has been a Glixel obsession for weeks now. We've seen plenty of PlayStation trailers showing off the dramatic landscapes and giant robot dinosaurs but PlayStation Japan went all out and created a live-action trailer with their very own Aloy.

Directed by Eiji Tanigawa and starring Maika Yamamoto the movie, A Solitary Huntress, sees Aloy surviving in the wilderness with her bow but sadly stops short of any combat. Yamamoto is an actress and model and has starred in movies like Assassination Classroom and Deadman Inferno

The stunning scenery is thanks to the filming location, Hachijō-jima. It's a volcanic Japanese island in the Philippine Sea and Battle Royale was filmed on a neighboring island.
