2. Dubious Food
In Breath of the Wild, failure is often as rewarding as success. You might learn something new, discover a heretofore hidden mechanic, or, in the case of cooking, end up with "food" so disgusting and revolting that the game has to pixelate it.
A lot of traditional survival games punish you when you experiment, and while I wouldn't call this repellant mass of pixel slime a reward, exactly, it is actually somewhat useful (in that it restores a bit of health) and it gives you something for your curiousity.
