Actress Christine Lakin gives an insight into your new Asari buddy

Bioware

The Mass Effect series has a lot of things in it to get excited about – space warfare, interplanetary politics and murderous extra-terrestrials – but for a large majority of its hardcore fans it's the relationships with your companions that really matters. The latest entry in the series, Mass Effect: Andromeda, is no different.

In this latest video from Mass Effect mothership, Bioware, the actress behind one of the new companions tells us a little more about what to expect. Peebee is an Asari (a race with a single gender and a millennium-long lifespan) and her full name is Pelessaria B’Sayle. It looks like she'll fill the role of comic relief in the space exploration adventure.

Her voice is provided by Christine Lakin who is no stranger to video game roles, having leant her vocal chords to The Walking Dead games, World of Warcraft: Warlords of Draenor and Medal of Honor. Lakin is also the voice of Joyce Kinney in Family Guy and has appeared in Modern Family.
