What You Need to Know From Xbox's Massive E3 Show

The $500 Xbox One X, 'Anthem,' the return of 'Crackdown', backwards compatibility and more

'Assassin's Creed: Origins'

Not an Xbox exclusive, but our first look at the much leaked Assassin's Creed Origins in all its Egyptian glory. Pyramids, eagles, hippos, and every sun-drenched inch rendered in the Xbox One X 4K.

It's all change for the series as Origins takes us back to meet the very first Assassins in 49 BC, introducing new hero Bayek, the last Medjay, and his companion Senu the eagle. The mini-map is gone from the screen and Senu acts like a feathery drone instead, scoping out the area and tagging enemies. We saw plenty of wildlife and reports suggest we'll get a Far Cry-style crafting system to make hunting them worthwhile.

Assassin's Creed: Origins will be released on consoles and PC – not just Xbox One X – on October 27.
