What to Play in April: 'Persona 5,' Old Games Remastered and Creepy Indie Horror

The cruelest month is anything but for fans of Nineties nostalgia and dude-bro shooters

'Puyo Puyo Tetris' Sega

Puyo Puyo Tetris

As the name ably suggests, Puyo Puyo Tetris mashes up the blob-matching of Sega's Puyo Puyo series with the familiar block dropping of Tetris. At its core it's a puzzle battle game, where you choose to play with the mechanism from one franchise or the other. The game has five different multiplayer modes as well as a single-player adventure mode that somehow manages to thread an ongoing narrative in between levels about making lines of blobs and blocks. Originally released to positive reviews on 3DS, Vita, Wii U and PS3 in 2014, the game makes its way to PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch on April 25.
