Bane

Poor Bane. Not only did Joel Schumacher completely butcher the character in the hilariously awful Batman & Robin, but he also faced the shame of his gaming debut occurring on one of the biggest handheld failures of the Nineties. Manufactured by Tiger Electronics (you know them for their shitty LCD-based handhelds), the laughably-named game.com unsuccessfully attempted to compete with the all-conquering Game Boy with lackluster games and underwhelming internet features (though it was, incredibly, the first handheld to feature a touchscreen). One of only 20 games released for the system, Batman & Robin was not well received…though as far as Bane was concerned, he looked about as menacing as the game.com allowed, and he made no attempt at any sort of dialogue. So in that sense, maybe his game.com appearance was actually a step up from his onscreen counterpart, who gave us such classic dialogue as "BOMB!... BOMB!... BOMB!"
