From 'Super Mario Odyssey' and 'Call of Duty' to bold multiplayer experiments and beautiful new concepts. The games we're buzzing about most

Call Of Duty: WWII

No more double jumps, no more robots, no more regenerating health – Call of Duty returns to the brutal trenches of Northern Europe with Sledgehammer's latest installment. The campaign looks great, and there's buzz about WWII serving as a persistent, iterative platform for the years to come. As with all CoD's, it has a rich assortment of multiplayer modes – but this time the usual PvP modes are supplemented with an asymmetric narrative-based 12-player "war mode" and a social zone called "headquarters" that lets 48 players hang out together. And zombies of course.
