Mass Effect: Andromeda
Mass Effect: Andromeda might just be the biggest release this year. Call it what it is: essentially a straight reboot of the series a five year break, following one of the most controversial game endings of all time. BioWare is certainly putting a good deal of distance between it and Mass Effect 3 – 600 years, and a countless astronomical units. As its title implies, Andromeda takes place in our neighboring galaxy, and depending who you pick, you'll play as Sara or Scott Ryder, a pair of siblings send off to find humanity some new real estate during the events of Mass Effect 2. Based on everything we've seen so far, it certainly looks like a real-deal Mass Effect, only vaster and more open-ended, which in our book, means better.
